Largest cake sculpture
The previous Guinness World Records' record for the largest cake sculpture measured 12.17 m x 9.80 m x 41 cm (39 ft 11 in x 32 ft 2 in x 16.14 in) and was achieved by Fairy Liquid (UK) at Westfield Shopping Centre in London, UK, on 30 November 2014.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the longest cake roll; it is 325.23 m (1,067 ft 0.21 in) and was achieved by Azusa Daiichi High School (Japan) at Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall in Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, on 1 October 2015.
The cake had a total surface area of 244 square metres and weighed more than a tonne (1,000 kg), Italian news agency Ansa reported.
The cake beat the previous Guinness World Records world record, set by the Procter & Gamble-owned brand Fairy in November 2014. That cake was unveiled at West London's Westfield Shopping Centre.
The cake was made with a large sponge base, topped with icing sugar. Around 300 bakers and designers from Italy's National Association of Cake Designers worked for four days to complete the dessert which was presented during the Hobby Show at the Milan Trade Fair.
After the record was confirmed, the cake was cut into 12,000 individual portions and distributed to visitors at the Milan Trade Fair.
